Accra—Police in the Accra Region have arrested three foreign nationals in connection with suspected SIM box fraud at the Sakumono Ramsar Site.

The suspects—Timileyin Fakunle, 30; Begun Adedeji, 31; and Olamide Roheemot, 28—were apprehended in separate apartments following intelligence-led raids. Police recovered electronic gadgets, SIM boxes, and numerous SIM cards believed to have been used in the alleged scam.

Authorities say two accomplices, known only as Mike and Kpalumi, and the alleged group leader, Tomy, a Chinese national, remain at large. Investigations are ongoing in collaboration with the National Communications Authority, and the suspects remain in custody.
The Accra Regional Police have urged property owners and residents to exercise caution when renting and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
