Mahama breaks ground for GAF accomodation project, donates vehicles to military

President John Dramani  Mahama has officially cut the sod for a new Ghana Armed Forces accommodation project at Burma Camp, aimed at modernising barracks and improving the welfare of military personnel.

The project will replace low-rise buildings with high-rise units, freeing up land for further development. An initial 200 housing units will be constructed through a self-help fundraising exercise starting in April.

At the ceremony, President Mahama also handed over pickup trucks, buses, and Land Cruisers to the military to boost operational capacity.

He praised the Armed Forces for their role in maintaining peace, security, and national development, while the Chief of Defence Staff thanked the government for its ongoing support.
