The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has denied rumours that Sarah Adwoa Safo, former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, was shot during an incident on the church’s grounds at Kwabenya, calling them “false and misleading”.
According to the church’s leadership, Adwoa Safo reportedly crashed her vehicle into the entrance gates of the property after a church ceremony, damaging two metal gates.
The church said that members and visitors were present at the moment, and the incident posed a substantial danger to life and property.
Security staff intervened to prevent further escalation and ensure the safety of participants.
The leadership also refuted claims that Adwoa Safo’s brother, Kwadwo Safo Jr, shot her and asked authorities to fully investigate the case.
The church has called on the public to trust verified information and allow due process to determine the truth.
