The conference was held at CCTH and was attended by all the internal key stakeholders (i.e., Directors, Deputy Directors, Heads of Sub-BMCs and Units, and other senior staff).

CONFERENCE OUTCOME:
Following the presentation of the evaluation findings by the lead evaluator, a business meeting was held to discuss the key policy issues raised in the report.
Key issues identified in the evaluation report included: High institutional all-cause mortality, data quality and management, resource availability, and utilization, etc.
Key recommendation:
There is a need to;
1. Strengthen the clinical management system and clinical care
2. Data management system and improve the capacity of data managers
3. Strengthen the financial, human resource, and governance systems at all levels, and
4. Strengthen policy planning, monitoring, and evaluation systems in the institution for the effective execution of strategic plans to achieve sustainable health outcomes and maximize impact.

Background Information:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)โDr Eric Kofi Ngyedu of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospitalโon the 3rd of July 2025, inaugurated an evaluation team to conduct the summative evaluation of CCTH’s medium-term (2020โ2025) strategic plan execution and provide evidence-based recommendations that will inform policy decisions and the design of the next strategic plan.
As part of the inauguration, the evaluation team members were trained on โsummative evaluation concept and the approachโ by the lead evaluator before the commencement of the evaluation exercise.
The evaluation team was made up of
1. The Lead EvaluatorโMiss Princess Gloria Ofori (Deputy Director, Monitoring and Evaluation and Research)
2. The Evaluation Steering Committeeโchaired by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Eric Kofi Ngyedu.
3. The Evaluation Technical Team
