NPP Assures Free, Fair, and Peaceful Presidential Primaries on January 31.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has given firm assurances that its upcoming presidential primaries, scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, will be conducted in a free, fair, transparent, credible, and peaceful manner.

The assurance followed a joint stakeholder meeting involving the party’s Presidential Elections Committee, the Ghana Police Service, and the Electoral Commission, held as part of final preparations for the internal polls. Representatives of the NPP’s national executives, as well as agents of the various presidential aspirants, attended the session.

Discussions during the meeting focused on security arrangements and operational readiness to safeguard the integrity of the primaries and ensure a smooth voting process nationwide.

The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, assured stakeholders of adequate security deployment, stressing that the police are committed to delivering an incident-free election.

Participants expressed satisfaction with the work of the Presidential Elections Committee so far, describing the coordination among stakeholders as encouraging and reflective of a shared commitment to upholding the credibility of the party’s democratic processes.

The NPP’s National Organiser, Nana B, reiterated the party’s resolve to uphold democratic values and deliver a transparent and credible contest that reflects the will of its delegates.

Henry Nana Boakye (National Youth Organiser of the NPP) has assured transparent and credible polls on 31st January.

The party stated that it remains focused on ensuring that the January 31 primaries strengthen party unity and reinforce public confidence as it prepares for the next phase of its electoral journey.
