Nickname:    Seleção das Quinas (Team of the Quincunxes)

Manager: Roberto Martinez

The Portugal men’s national football team has announced its World Cup roster on May 19.Portugal’s best World Cup results are a third-place finish in 1966 and a fourth-place finish in 2006. Before Cristiano Ronaldo, they qualified for the tournament only 3 times in 17 attempts. Since his international debut, they have qualified for every single World Cup. Many regard the 2026 World Cup as Cristiano Ronaldo’s last attempt at winning the biggest trophy in football. Would he falter again, or might this just be Portugal’s year?
