ENGLAND
Nickname: The Three Lions
Manager: Thomas Tuchel
England has announced its roster for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on May 22. The Three Lions would be looking to go past their 4th-place finish in the 2018 edition in Russia with German tactician Thomas Tuchel. The omission of Harry Maguire has generated a lot of controversy. Superstars like Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and the ever-burgeoning Morgan Gibbs-White, who is the highest-scoring Englishman in the about-to-end 2025/2026 Premier League season, have also been omitted from the roster. Many wonder how Jordan Henderson managed to make the cut ahead of in-form Morgan Gibbs-White, who has registered 14 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League this season. Would 2026 end the Three Lions’ 60-year wait for a second World Cup?
Below is the list of the 26-man squad.
