Ebo Noah still in police custody, to undergo psychological assessment

Self annointed Doomsday seer, Evans Eshun, well-known on social media circles  as Ebo Noah, has been placed into police custody by the Adentan Circuit Court and instructed to have a psychological evaluation at a government institution prior to his upcoming court date.

When the defendant was brought before the court, which was presided over by Her Honour Angela Attachie, the order was issued, ordering that Eshun be kept in custody until his next court appearance on January 15, 2026.
The prosecution has identified Ebo Noah as a 33-year-old private security guard who is accused of posting a number of social media videos on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube between August and December 2025 under the username @Ebonoah.

In the videos, he said that a flood would wipe out the planet on December 25, 2025, and that he was constructing an ark to rescue humanity.

However, the prosecution claimed that the remarks were made without legitimate authorization and were intended to instill fear and terror in the populace.

According to the police in Ghana, who are the complainants in the matter, the defendant was taken into custody on December 31, 2025, after an intelligence-led raid at Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region. Ebo Noah is alleged to have admitted to producing and disseminating the films in a cautioned statement during the inquiry.

But he clarified that the vessel he called an “ark” belonged to a fisherman in the Central Region’s Edina boat yard, not to him. He purportedly confessed that his assertions regarding an impending flood were untrue. The charge of publishing false news with the intention of spreading worry and terror is currently before the court.
The matter has been postponed till January 15, 2026.
