Ghana condemns Dubai drone attack that injures two Ghanaians.

Following the injuries sustained by two Ghanaian nationals on Tuesday, March 11, 2026, in a drone-related incident close to Dubai International Airport, the Ghanaian government has condemned the incident.

According to a news statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials in the United Arab Emirates had alerted authorities to the incident, which took place earlier that day near the airport.

According to reports, two Ghanaians were hurt in the incident while they were in the vicinity. The ministry claims that the wounded are receiving medical attention and their condition is not deemed life-threatening. According to officials, they are anticipated to recover completely.

The ministry vehemently condemned any action that puts civilian lives or essential infrastructure at risk, emphasising that these events represent significant dangers to public safety. The necessity of protecting citizens and securing vital international transportation hubs, such as big airports, was also emphasised by authorities.

Following the event, Ghana’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates headed a delegation of officials from the consulate in Dubai and the Ghanaian embassy in Abu Dhabi to the hospital to see the injured citizens.

The group provided encouragement and assurance that the government was dedicated to their well-being throughout their treatment. The ministry pleaded for peace among the Ghanaian population in the area, emphasising that consular aid is being given to the victims while officials continue to collaborate closely with authorities in the United Arab Emirates to track events.

“The Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to engage with the appropriate authorities as required,” the statement said, adding that the government’s thoughts are with the injured individuals and their families.
