A prominent businesswoman named Ama Born Again has exposed what she calls the hidden and hazardous forces controlling Ghana’s markets in a scathing exposé that has caused ripples throughout the trading community.
On Asempa FM’s well-known programme ‘Y’ASETENAM’, she cautioned that the daily struggle for money is frequently a facade for violent spiritual conflicts where survival is contingent on more than simply hard work.
However, Born Again, who has now converted to Christianity, admitted to a sinister past in which she depended on fetish priests and potent charms to defend her business and beat out her rivals.
She warned that one shouldn’t venture there alone, describing a market full of spiritual animosity and black magic.
Trade practices: ‘waist protection’ and bathing for gain
Ama Born Again acknowledged that she adhered to stringent and sometimes odd procedures in order to assure the success of her business throughout her time in the spiritual trenches. She asserts that these ceremonies are a widespread practice among traders who are aggressive and desperate throughout the nation.
The marketplace’s spiritual toolkit includes:
Medicinal Baths: Used for the dual purpose of protecting the merchant from evil eyes and using a spell to entice naive clients.
Waist Charms: Sacred objects that are either fastened around the waist or concealed in money pouches to protect everyday income from spiritual theft.
Midnight Sacrifices:
Ceremonies conducted at cemeteries or temples in the middle of the night to gain a competitive advantage before the market begins trading at dawn.
Everyone employs various spiritual methods of marketing their products because everyone desires more income. The life-or-death aspect of this esoteric contest was highlighted by her observation that you might be murdered if you aren’t cautious.
The ghost in the stall: When traders aren’t who they appear to be
Perhaps the most unsettling aspect of her assertions is that several market participants, including buyers and sellers, are not real people.
She asserted that the bustling market aisles are frequented by ghosts from the cemetery, spirits, and creatures that have taken on human form in order to carry out commerce.
“Someone selling tomatoes may give you the impression that you know them, but they are not people. “ She stated that some merchants are ghosts from the cemetery, spirits, or animals that have assumed human form in order to come and sell.
However, greed wasn’t the only factor behind Born Again’s fall into the world of juju; a shattered heart played a role as well. She disclosed that the perceived mistreatment and criticism she experienced from the congregation—even though she had originally belonged to a church—led her to seek vengeance.
Until her recent conversion, this agony drove her further and further into the occult.
“At the time, I was born again, but the way the church treated her drove her to become bitter and seek vengeance. She was drawn further into juju by that suffering. She is now begging God for forgiveness. Only God rescued me from a life dominated by fear,” she said.
The entrepreneur has apologised in writing to all those who were affected by her previous actions, urging today’s traders to forego the risky road of spiritual warfare in favour of moral business practices and divine protection.
