CAPE COAST TEACHING HOSPITAL
Today (24/6/2026) marked the 3rd day of the Nurses and Midwives Week (2026) at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. The main event for the day was a cooking competition between the nurses and midwives from all the hospital’s sub-BMCs. Some sub-BMCs were merged to form teams, while others stood alone for the cooking competition, which was held at the green grassy quadrangle between the CCSD and the canteen of the hospital.
To add some embellishment to the day, the dress code was traditional, which allowed nurses and midwives of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital to showcase different fabrics, clothes and styles in their traditional attraction/touch, adding some colour to the occasion. This  allowed the nurses to unconventionally doff their uniforms and unorthodoxically don Ghanaian attire at work as they rendered the highest possible nursing and midwifery care to the esteemed clients and patronisers of the hospital’s services amidst glee, vavavoom and camaraderie.

All the participants were fully in character per the lens of 233today.com
We also sampled some of the traditional/indigenous attires and outfits from individuals and group photographs  that added colour to the Day 3 celebrations
The final Standings after cooking competition were as follows:
