NPP commences nationwide exhibition of voter register for the January 31st 2026 presidential primaries

As part of its efforts to guarantee transparency, accuracy, and credibility in its internal electoral procedure, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the start of a national exhibition of its voter list in preparation for the party’s 2026 presidential election.

The party announced in an official statement released by the party’s Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) that the 2026 Presidential Elections Voter Register has been distributed to every constituency throughout the nation via the numerous Regional Secretariats.

The statement, which was dated December 29, 2025, and signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, states that the purpose of the exhibition exercise is to allow party stakeholders, notably delegates, to check their information in their respective constituencies and regions. The purpose of the activity is to find and fix mistakes like omissions, misspellings of names, missing or erroneous photos, missing pictures, and other administrative errors that may have an impact on one’s ability to vote in the presidential election.

The party has instructed Constituency Executive Committees and Regional Executive Committees, working through their assigned IT officers, to officially report any discrepancies identified during the exhibition period for immediate correction.

From Wednesday, December 31, 2025, until Monday, January 5, 2026, is the planned verification period. In order to ensure a seamless and open procedure, the NPP has urged Electoral Area Coordinators, Members of the Constituency Council of Elders, Constituency Patrons, and Regional and Constituency Executives to actively support and promote the exhibition throughout all constituencies.

Additionally, the party has asked every presidential candidate to designate representatives to monitor the exhibition exercise at the constituency level in order to promote fairness and transparency.

In preparation for the 2026 presidential election, the NPP reaffirmed that the initiative demonstrates its dedication to maintaining a free, fair, transparent, and reliable internal electoral process.
